My very cool in-laws flew up to help us drive our two cars down (and Shana got a new Prius hybrid) and help deal with cranky kids. We stopped for a night in Ashland, and it was wonderful. Perfect artsy town with great food and musicians that come out with night to play for people. (And not like a guy with an open guitar case, one person brought his entire marimba and xylophone set. It was really surreal.)

Here are some more pictures from our time in Portland and our trip down to Fresno.

We left off from the last post in Oregon at the Newport Aquarium. There was a diver cleaning one of the large fish tanks, and Madison kept waving to him (her?) and making cute eye-contact until he finally pulled out his regulator (breathing thingy) and blew bubbles at her and waved.  She was very impressed.
