So, we have been going for walks every day for the past two months.  Each evening we would put the kids in the jog stroller and walk around the golf course (about 4 holes of it) and let them play in the grass while Shana and I looked for golf balls.  Over the past two months, we collected well over 100 balls and I always just threw them into the giant plant-barrel-thingy in our back yard.  The giant plant-barrel-thingy is used to catch rain water from the  roof, but since it barely rains here, it seemed like a great spot to store golf balls.

Well, it turns out that it rained for a couple days and the golf balls got all dirty, so I decided to wash them and put them in a big box in the garage for my parents to take home.  I was worried that they would take too many, leaving me with few golf balls, but we have WAY TOO MANY.

This is where I washed my balls.

We woke up really late this morning because the kids let us. Why not? And we scrambled to get out the door and head to Sedona. We had never been there, nor did we know what it would be like and I wasn’t getting my hopes up at all. The drive was beautiful and I can understand why people decided to settle in Sedona. It is surrounded by gorgeous rocks inside a canyon. The town is expanding and it has a ton of great art shops and places to eat. Since Madison has been on a “Buzz and Woody” kick for a few days, we decided to take her to a cowboy themed restaurant, and it was fun.

We were directed there by a nice man, named Marc, and he also told us about many other things to do in Sedona. (We will have to go back a few more times.) After lunch and walking around the shops, we ran into Marc again and he invited us to join his family (he has three beautiful girls) to play on their water slide. You just have to see the photos below to get the idea.

We drove home after a great day, and went for a walk in our back yard (the golf course) while pizza baked in the oven.

Also, since I haven’t posted pictures in a while, I can tell you that we are all unpacked and just about settled in. The garage is set up for our gym area and I will post pictures or a video of the entire house soon.

We are really enjoying these nice cool summer/fall afternoons for eating in our back yard.  It is a luxury that we have missed very much and the kids love it.  The only downside, is that there are too many bugs that are just as interested in our dinner as we are.  After each dinner, we go far a walk in our back yard.  Other people call it “the first hole,” but we just consider it an extention of our back yard. Madison’s new hobby is hunting down golf balls during our walk.  Sometimes she finds so many that she actually gives me one or two to hold onto.
