Since I have come under fire for not updating the blog in a while, (I was on vacation, thank you!) I figured that I could do one big post that would cover the past month.  Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Anyway, as you may have known from past entries, we were visited by my in-laws for Thanksgiving, and then soon after, we drove to Fresno for a night, then flew up to Portland for a week.  We were planning on heading to the beach once we got to Oregon, but a big snow storm kept us from going to far.  We did get to do some good shopping, eating out, and the kids got to visit the Children’s Museum, so it wasn’t too hard to get around. We had a nice early Christmas in Portland with Grandma and Grandpa Donaldson, and Aunty Lee Ann, then we flew back down to Fresno for Christmas Part-2.

In Fresno, we celebrated Grandma Benita’s birthday, and relaxed in warmer weather.  We had a HUGE feast for Christmas Eve, but Grandpa Morris (Chester) got called in for work (surgery) and missed a big part of the festivities. =(  We had a great Christmas, followed by another big meal up in North Fork (north of Fresno) at Grandma Benita’s sisters’ house.

After playing with cousins, drinking wine, and trying to beat Grandma Benita at Scrabble, (she cheats, somehow) we loaded up at went home.

We had a nice picnic outside for lunch yesterday, and we were attacked by bees (right after we ate, thank goodness.)  It’s nice to be home, but we miss family very much.  Stay warm!

We are getting settled in here at our new home in Prescott. We thought we got rid of a few things to help lighten the load for unpacking, but we were wrong. We are only half-way done unpacking and the flattened boxes and packing paper is almost reaching the roof of our garage. It really is crazy. If we were in Alaska, I could just take all of it outside and burn it. We have about 5 days left until they come to pick up the boxes… boy, will they be surprised! I have a couple of photos from the last day in Fresno, too.

We are in a hotel in Barstow, California. It is still kind of hot, but we are excited to be seeing our house tomorrow. We had a wonderful time in Fresno, and my in-laws were super sweet. Shana’s sister brought her family down a few times to play with Madison and Max, and on the last night, there was a big family reunion and we got to see everyone again! I will try to post a few more photos but my connection in this warm hotel is slow.

We visited the Fresno Zoo and it was pretty hot. It was me with Shana (hot-wife,) Benita (mother-in-law) and our kids and Shana’s sister’s kids… 5 total kids. It was a zoo, alright.

I know that I need to start posting more pictures ASAP, so I will work on that for tomorrow, as well as getting people in the loop about this new blog. Eventually, I will stop buying domain names and just have a single spot for my family blogging stuff.

But for now, please click around and tell me what you think! I still need to change some stuff on the contact page, but I need a beer first.
