Camping At Sunset Beach

We are camping at Sunset Beach State Park near Santa Cruz, CA. We went from 110 degree weathe to 74 and misty. We have 5 other families here and a bushel of kids. (a few less than a gaggle of kids)

We are going to the beach today (I think,) and the boardwalk tomorrow. Since we have no power, I will only turn on my phone for messages and updates until Sunday.

Time for breakfast!

We had a great camping trip yesterday. We decided to take the pop-top trailer out for a test run by camping at Lynx Lake. I took a marinated skirt steak for dinner and we skipped out on breakfast because I couldn’t get the refrigerator to work off of the propane. (There is a way to do it, I just can’t figure it out yet.) The kids had a blast and the lake was enjoyable, but there was no swimming or wading allowed. Sadie broke that rule by chasing a group of geese into the lake when I wasn’t paying attention. Bad dog!

Also, Max had a wee sunburn on his nose, so it’s in the healing phase. Yes, we know… we know… we missed a spot. We now use 3 sunblock products and make him carry an umbrella.
