sometimes, mornings are hard for me.

I am not a fan of pain medication pills, especially muscle relaxers. They slow my brain down too much and I become frustrated with simple problems. I am sure most people feel the same way, but I have no choice but to take them until I get better. Last night, when Max woke up at 4 in the morning, I decided to have him sleep next to me in bed. I went into his room and changed his diaper and re-wrapped him in his special blanket and carried him back to bed. As I was laying Max down, my back decided to tell me that I forgot to take my pain medication again, and I folded over onto the floor in severe pain.

Max was safe on the bed and actually going back to sleep, but I was on the floor, paralyzed by pain. After about 15 minutes, I was able to crawl to the kitchen, grab my pain-be-gone pills, and slowly get myself back in bed. I know that I messed up, but I just hate having my head messed with when I need to be ready to care for my kids. I just have to do better at taking care of myself.
