Our First Camping Trip

We had a great camping trip yesterday.  We decided to take the pop-top trailer out for a test run by camping at Lynx Lake.  I took a marinated skirt steak for dinner and we skipped out on breakfast because I couldn’t get the refrigerator to work off of the propane.  (There is a way to do it, I just can’t figure it out yet.)  The kids had a blast and the lake was enjoyable, but there was no swimming or wading allowed.  Sadie broke that rule by chasing a group of geese into the lake when I wasn’t paying attention. Bad dog!

Also, Max had a wee sunburn on his nose, so it’s in the healing phase. Yes, we know… we know… we missed a spot.  We now use 3 sunblock products and make him carry an umbrella.

    I didn’t know you guys got a tent trailer. My parents had one when I was a kid and it was the job of the kids to set it up and close it down. And then when we were at home we use to play in it all the time. Such good memories…..Well, except for the time my brother’s told me a scary story while camping about the one armed man and I couldn’t sleep for days!!

    I love the picture of the kids and Shana in the camping chairs. Max looks like he’s got beer in his sippy cup. So cute!

    Those pictures are great. Everyone looks so happy and relaxed. Glad you got a chance to try out the new tent trailer. Where to next?
    Madison is quite photogenic. I agree with Lee Ann, that first picture is fabulous. All four are all in the groove.
