Monkeys and Pumpkins

It’s that time of year again where we stuff our kids into costumes that they don’t want to wear and try to show them that by begging, they can get candy and treats. We have had a very busy week with our friends Stephanie and Ian Hurst dropping by with their friend Dave (on their way to the Grand Canyon for camping,) then the Halloween Night party at the YMCA, then the Pumpkin Festival today in Chino Valley.
The other thing our kids have been doing well, is eating all the food in the house. I have had to take them a few times to Fry’s (like Safeway but owned my the Fred Myers people,) and they always have fun. Madison picked out a couple scratcher lotto tickets for us for fun and we won $30. CHA-CHING!
Madison got a new kite and it is made of paper and small bits of wood. (It won’t last long so I got her a nice one after this one dies.) She had a ton of fun with it, though!
We go to the little zoo here almost once a week. They have a few cool animals and a scary collection of snakes and spiders, but Madison loves the little park where she can play and push her brother in the swing.
The rest of these photos are from the YMCA and our Pumpkin Festival thingy.
After the YMCA, we went to the Olive Garden for dinner and Max made a huge mess of himself. I took him to the manager (who was training 3 employees) and told him that I had a complaint. They all looked at me and Max as I told them with a very serious face that their spaghetti exploded on my son. They laughed.

Ok, I about spit out my water reading about your complaint at OG. That was too funny. The kids are as cute as ever. I can’t believe they are so big and too cute. I love their costumes.
Love you guys!

Oh, what fun you all have in sunny Arizona. The pumpkin patch was tidy. They don’t do it like at home with kids actually going into the patch with the mud and vines. No mud in AZ, I guess…. Much easier for parents.
Max looks so big and Madison so pretty.

The kids are so big!!! I love looking at your updates. I can’t believe that jacket is still in great shape. Anyway, only one more holiday (halloween) until we come see you!!!! I think it’s only 4 1/2 weeks left!

The kids are doing really well, and it is still hot here! Heather: it won’t be long until that jacket won’t fit anymore… I try to not feed these kids, but they somehow get to the food!!
