drove to Sedona and that place rocks

We woke up really late this morning because the kids let us. Why not? And we scrambled to get out the door and head to Sedona. We had never been there, nor did we know what it would be like and I wasn’t getting my hopes up at all. The drive was beautiful and I can understand why people decided to settle in Sedona. It is surrounded by gorgeous rocks inside a canyon. The town is expanding and it has a ton of great art shops and places to eat. Since Madison has been on a “Buzz and Woody” kick for a few days, we decided to take her to a cowboy themed restaurant, and it was fun.
We were directed there by a nice man, named Marc, and he also told us about many other things to do in Sedona. (We will have to go back a few more times.) After lunch and walking around the shops, we ran into Marc again and he invited us to join his family (he has three beautiful girls) to play on their water slide. You just have to see the photos below to get the idea.
We drove home after a great day, and went for a walk in our back yard (the golf course) while pizza baked in the oven.
Also, since I haven’t posted pictures in a while, I can tell you that we are all unpacked and just about settled in. The garage is set up for our gym area and I will post pictures or a video of the entire house soon.

Hi to the happy AZ Family!! I knew you would love Sedona!! It was definitely my favorite get away while I lived the the Phoenix area for those 2 yrs way back when. The kids look like they are really having fun………what a big daddy switch from the Sitka hum drum. you DEFINITELY have not been missing out on our lovely Fall weather!! Jazzie & I leave in about 1 wk, and although we will miss daddy terribly, it will be so nice to have some warm, sunny weather for a change! We are excited to see all of you in November=)
